1977 Holiday Rambler Class C MOTORHOME

This auction is for a 1977 HOLIDAY RAMBLER WIDE WORLD. It is 23 feet in length and is on a DODGE 360 Chassis. The floorplan is known as a "party coach" - which means it accomodates many people (for eating and entertaining). It has a sofa that pulls into a double bed; double cab-over bed; and two pull down beds that converts from two cabinents (for two small children, under 100 lbs. each). The dinette is unique; a breakfast table between to swivel chairs. The table can be pulled out and made into a larger table. There are two post points in front of the sofa to setup two large table tops. So, two could eat at the dinette, and two or even more at the sofa. The upholstery is not original; it was redone a few years back by previous owner. The kitchen is sufficient with plenty of storage space. The refrigerator is a nice size; the stove and oven directly across from it. There is an exhaust above the stove, with cabinents all around. The bathroom is a major plus! It is the full width of the motorhome, therefore ALL IN ONE ROOM (as opposed to split). It is separated by a wall and is located in the back of the motorhome. It is complete with three holding tanks (two waste, one fresh). The hot water heater has an electric converter that I installed - works wonderfully, and even has a timer! The water heater also will heat the conventional propane way also. The interior is in great shape! I lived in this camper for over a year, before moving into a duplex. It is very sufficient and comfortable. The a/c works fine, after I replaced the circuit breaker with a new one. The generator is a Kohler 3kW, that works just fine. No leaks in roofing. Exhaust fan and vent cover for bathroom; new vent flaps all the way round. New lightbulb covers installed. The engine runs fine, despite the fact that Dodge engines are a little cold natured. Recently replaced the passenger exhaust manifold and installed a manual choke for the carb's butterfly. This helps the motor to warm up while being able to drive it more immediately. The body is in great shape, except for a bit of rust on the back bumper, and a small dent in the front hood. I bought this motorhome in August of 2000 and lived in it up until Jan of 2002. WONDERFUL CAMPER!
Disclaimer about propane: I HAVE NOT USED THE PROPANE, NOR THE FURNACE, STOVE, OR GAS-POWERED SIDE OF REFRIGERATOR AND WATER HEATER. I used electricity, and thus, never even filled up the propane. I am told that everything related to the propane works fine. The refrigerator works extremely well when connected to electricity as does the water heater with it's electric converter. As far as the stove and furnace, I couldn't say either way. All I know is nothing has been done with these two appliances since I purchased - and, again, was told it worked when I bought it.

Needs brake work. At this time, I have to keep a good check on the brake fluid. I believe it is the rear brakes giving trouble. It seems to be fine, as long as you keep in mind and take things easy on braking. Would need to be fixed soon. I has considered repairing this, but decided to just sell "as is." Speedometer/Odometer does not work. Not sure why - was working several months back. Probably a small problem. Fuel gauge hasn't worked in years, so I'm told. Recently replaced passenger side exhaust manifold, and as soon as we did, the DRIVER'S side went out. Have not replaced this (which means a little noisier than usual).

Selling "AS IS." I have listed known problems. I will include the electric converter in purchase. The motorhome can be viewed, on weekends until sold, in the front parking lot of LeCroy Office Supply on BIG A Road in Toccoa, Georgia. I will consider delivery, if not terribly far away from Northeast Georgia. If delivered, would require at least 40% or payment upfront for security.
